1972 Ping Anser 85020 w/highly desired and very scarce 8.5” long first step (Fred Couples shaft) model. Very soft feel at impact that modern putters simply cannot duplicate. 34.5” total length. The Couples shaft is extremely rare on the 85020 Anser. Fred won a bunch of his early victories with this model putter. Most 85020 Ansers came equipped with the standard 6” first step which doesn’t have the same feel at all, Completely all original from top to bottom with the exception of a new condition Pingman grip. This is the model that paved the way for countless knock-offs by Cameron, Bettinardi, Piretti, etc. I feel these provide better feel at impact than do the copycats! It’s 51 years old now! No sight lines or other modifications. This is also a fabulous addition to any Ping putter collection indeed. Pings are finally staging a long-overdue comeback in the putter collecting world-perhaps because so many of us are stuck at home. I’ve been shipping many to the UK of late as well.

Bidding opens at just $49.99 on this rare beauty, with insured shipping in the lower 48 at $16. Over 5200 positive feedbacks here since 1998 (100%) Don’t let this one get away!
