You are looking at a NAD 317 Hi-Fi integrated amplifier FAULTY.

 

High power audiophile integrated amplifier from 1997.This was one of NAD’S best integrated Hi-Fi amplifiers at the time.

 

Unfortunately, this example has no audio output from the pre-amplifier and power amplifier section via speakers and headphones. Totally silent.

 

It does switch on and a click from the relays can be heard. The power light stays on amber.

 

Could be the protection circuit. I have no idea, just a thought.

 

Sold strictly for spares or repairs with no returns.

 

Soft clipping plastic level has broken away from the switch.

 

Description WHEN WORKING

The model 317 integrated amplifier uses an identical power amplifier circuit to the 214-power amplifier.

The unit has 6-line inputs, including 2 tape in/outputs with dubbing facilities.

By removing the links between the pre-out and main-in sockets the pre-amplifier section can be separated from the power amplifier for easy upgrades.

At the rear soft clipping switch (plastic lug broken), stereo or bridge mode, splitable pre-amplifier/power amplifier for future upgrading or adding in an Eq unit etc, decent 4mm speaker binding posts. These accept bare wire or speaker plugs.

 

220-240 volt operation.

If you find upon receipt it does not work you will have to provide video evidence. DO NOT OPEN IT. Buyers outside of the UK pay for the return postage. Only bid if you intend to buy it.

I had a situation where a fully item was returned as faulty. The person who bought it swapped out the working CD mechanism with a faulty one and returned it. BEWARE FELLOW EBAY SELLERS. Protect yourselves.

Buyers overseas: If you want to return an item you have purchased you must factor the cost to return the item. I add weights and mesures to the prefilled section on the listing and you have my return address. You can ask me for this information if you cant find it so you can calculate the cost before you buy. It could exceed the cost of the items value. I got the blame for the high cost of returning an item from the US to the UK. Cant see why this my fault.
