This week we are offering Joanies “Great Estates” multi-week spring estate auction sales. This group of auctions feature an amazing array of fresh to market hand picked treasures. The sales will span over the next few weeks starting with three days of Asian arts, followed by fine estate jewelry and many other interesting treasures!

This great collection came form a prominent Le Chateau Montreal family collection we have been offering over the past months. The vast majority of items were acquired by the parents 40-60 years ago, with many others being earlier family heirlooms. The family has indicated their parents were good friends of Alex Gurie of the famed Gurie Gallery, Montreal, and that many of the Asian arts examples were acquired from Gurie during the 1960 to 70s. This is surely one of the most impressive estate collections we have dealt with in over 20 years of offering items here on eBay. This box is a very unique example that has a sleek modernist design that fits very well with today’s decorating tastes. The box is intricately made with weaved silver designs and we believe it would have taken great effort to have created this example. The box has Italian .925 sterling silver hallmarks. This top quality desk or table box is being offered Without Reserve!

Condition: Very fine estate-fresh condition with no damage. The box may benefit from further light cleaning if desired. The lid closes perfectly tight.

Size: The box measures 5 inches long x 3 3/4 inches wide x 1 1/4 inches tall. The box weighs 264 grams.
