This week we are offering Joanies “Great Estates” multi-week spring estate auction sales. This group of auctions feature an amazing array of fresh to market hand picked treasures. The sales will span over the next few weeks starting with three days of Asian arts, followed by fine estate jewelry and many other interesting treasures!

This great collection came form a prominent Le Chateau Montreal family collection we have been offering over the past months. The vast majority of items were acquired by the parents 40-60 years ago, with many others being earlier family heirlooms. The family has indicated their parents were good friends of Alex Gurie of the famed Gurie Gallery, Montreal, and that many of the Asian arts examples were acquired from Gurie during the 1960 to 70s. This is surely one of the most impressive estate collections we have dealt with in over 20 years of offering items here on eBay. We did not have time to list more items so we have made up for great estate treasure lots for your bidding pleasure! We believe many items within these lots are quite saleable on their own.

The lot includes several jadeite bangles, including one that we believe is white jade with a subtle yellow tone. There is also a silver mounted wood bracelet that we are told is antique and carved of a special and sought after wood type. A number of apple green jadeite pendants. And an antique Chinese tiger eye hardstone bead necklace with a filigree silver clasp.

Unfortunately, we did find a tight crack when photoing the white jade bangle, which is why it has been included in this lot. We believe this bangle is a rare example that is of antique age. The badge has a unique form and is carved all around with a large dragon figure and other zodiac animals. This interesting estate lot is being offered Without Reserve!

Condition: Estate-fresh, tight crack to white jade bangle as noted in the description. The pieces in this lot are otherwise in good condition. The images are part of the condition report. All estate lots are offered “as is”.

Size: The white jade bangle measures 3 inches long x 2 3/4 inches wide x 3/8s of an inch thick, and weighs 38.5 grams. This bracelet has an inside circumference of 6 3/4 inches. The wood & silver bangle measures 3 1/4 inches wide x 3/8s of an inch thick and weighs 18.3 grams. This bangle has an inside circumference of 7 3/4 inches. The jadeite bangles and rings measure from 2 7/8 to 1 7/8 inches wide. The apple jadeite tubular pendant or peacock hat feather plum measures 2 inches long. The other apple jadeite pendants measure from 3/8s to 1 1/4 inches long. The tiger eye necklace measures 15 1/4 inches long with 12mms wide beads and weighs 58 grams.
