"OODEES"
The Indians "Little People" of the American Continents.
Long ago, Mother Moon sent the "Little Oodee's" to live on the earth. They are about one inch tall and live in the undergrowth.
Flowing long black hair and big black eyes is their trade mark.
When you are out in the wilds, look closely and you may see one of them.
Here they are pictured in various Indian costumes.
GERDA CHRISTOFFERSEN
Gerda Christoffersen, internationally known painter, was born in Denmark and has spent most of her life in Canada and the United States study- ing the culture of the North American Indians and is now an authority on the subject. She has also studied anatomy with H. G. Glyde of Eng- land.
She has created the original style of the "Papoose Paintings" and is uninfluenced by any art trend or form. She painted the covers for the Maryknoll Magazine for 1956 representing twelve different races of children of the world in her well known "Papoose Style".
Collectors own works by Gerda Christoffer- sen in Europe, Australia, Africa, India, Canada, South America and the United States.
