A Victorian Carved Mahogany Northwind Motif Tuft Tall Back Club Chair, c. Early 20th Century. This Chair would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid mahogany shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by a deep satin finish. This finish pairs nicely with many period pieces and has been completely professionally refinished and upholstered. The pebbled vinyl upholstery is of a very high quality and features a 3 button tuft backrest. The upholstery is lined in aged brass deco nail studs, which offers sensational contrast. The top of the chair is heavily carved, displaying figural griffins, lions and traditional details throughout - It's quite drastic. The styled arm rests are made up of Northwind Faces, which flows nicely into the lion's paw feet; This truly brings the overall design of the Chair together nicely. The underside of the Chair is unsigned or marked.
