Recent rural Virginia estate find. Offering a c.1860 Vaseline glass oil lamp in the Shield and Stars pattern. Light green base color with exceptionally bright glow under UV light. The font is a four part mold evident with visible vertical mold lines. No chips, cracks or haziness in the glass and the marble base is in excellent condition with some light aging. Imperfections in the glass as expected for pieces of this age; waviness and some bubbles. Extremely light to no evidence of use; very clean. Some aging on the brass collar and base shaft, but works well with this antique lamp. A stunning lamp and displays amazingly well. Please review all pictures for design, dimensions and condition.
