Vintage/Antique Violin Bow For Repair/ Restoration - 54g / 74.2 cm - #1

A vintage violin bow sold for repair or restoration.

It was found in the case of a French-made violin which was roughly 100 years old, but I don’t know the age of the bow itself.

I know next to nothing about bows (I think it is 50 years since I was last made to play a violin as a child, so my memory is very rusty). I therefore asked a friend to help me present the most important parameters for potential buyers, and these are shown below:

Maker’s name - none
Total length - 74.2cm (approx 29.3”)
Weight - 54g - no hair fitted
Any obvious splits? - No (minor split in mother-of-pearl round inlay - see photo)
Round or hexagonal? - Hexagonal at frog end, tapering quickly into a round section until the tip.

Sold as seen, please make your own mind up - it's not my area of expertise.
