...in black chased hard rubber which is still a deep shiny black colour throughout…all chasing and imprints are very clear…
Manufactured by MABIE TODD & Co. England...
…around 1915.
It is......overall, in "Very Good” condition…
...the pen is made to very high standards of quality.

The “slightly domed” Top, Clipless Cap is in “great” condition...Black and shiny…
There are no cracks, breaks or bad marks…

The Cap has the clear imprint around it at the top …”SWAN”
...it screws on and posts very securely on to the barrel.

The 14K Gold, “NEW YORK” No.2 Nib is in excellent condition…
..it is “Broad” Tipped…it writes very well…
… “fun to write with”…it has very good line width variation…and it has a bit of flex….
...it can write with a Medium Fine to Broad Plus line, I would say...(please refer to the photo of the pen’s writing test)

...the Feed is in excellent condition...it has a clear, large “SWAN” imprint.
... the long curved hard rubber Section is also in excellent condition...it has the clear imprint...

...It screws smoothly into the Barrel.

The Barrel is in “great” condition...
…to use…simply unscrew the Section, fill the Barrel with ink, using an “Eyedropper” or a syringe…and then screw the Section back on, nice and tightly…
…a little silicone grease can be touched on to the Section threads to make sure that there will be no possible leak from the joint with the Barrel…this is often not necessary though.
... the Barrel imprint is “crisp” and very clearly readable..It reads....
