Antique Stanley Bailey No.3 Corrugated Bottom Plane "Victory" TM on Iron
I cleaned out the dust and grime then used some linseed oil on the handles. I may used a fine steel wool to clean up the areas I needed to see so I could date and identify. (I have been working thru a bunch) I have not sharpened as that is beyond my ability.
Background of this item
My grandfather picked this up from an antique store many years ago, along with many other planes I will slowly work thru. They have sat in grandmas garage for years, then it given to my dad where it sat for a few years until I spotted them. (As a reseller and collector of all things old and unique I cannot pass up a neat old tool lol) Told dad I would try to sell for him as he will never use them. He gave me the background that I have now passed along to you.
