Original 1914 antique real photo postcard (RPPC) showing the passenger ferry "Juneta" on the Nehalem River. Caption, written in the negative, reads: "On the Nehalem River". The card is postmarked: Nehalem, Oregon July 12, 1914. Juneta was a passenger ferry that operated on the Nehalem River on the north coast of Oregon from 1910 to the mid 1920s. Thereafter this vessel was transferred to the Columbia River where it was operated out of Astoria as a cannery tender until the 1960s. Juneta was then converted to a tugboat, and operated commercially on the Columbia and Willamette rivers until 1976. Juneta is still in existence and afloat as a private yacht in the vicinity of Portland, Oregon.

Postmarked: Nehalem Jul 12, 1914 Oregon.

Measures: 3.5 in. x 5.5 in.

Condition: no tears, small crease & small bend at the top left corner, no stains however there is some uneven age toning & some fading to the image, please see scanned images
