Item Description :

This is a Japanese pottery vase of Bizen Ware, which was made by a Human National Treasure potter, Jyun Isezaki (1936-) about 45 years ago.

He is a very great potter, who was made a Human National Treasure in 2004. 

The siganture of the potter is carved on the bottom.  The original wooden box with the signature of the potter and his profile are also included.

Bizen ware is a type of Japanese pottery most identifiable by its ironlike hardness, reddish brown color, absence of glaze, and marklings resulting from wood-burning kiln firing.
