This special category from MVR displays all the music video collections and live concerts that have been digitally remastered in both picture and sound from the original LaserDiscs with digital audio converted to Dolby Digital 2.0 Sound on DVD. In most cases these titles were offered only on LaserDisc exclusively with some also released in the VHS format. Check individual descriptions for original format history of each title along with track listings and photo of MVR’s exclusive artwork. Each DVD in this series includes beautifully customized artwork that mimics the theme of the original art work that was made exclusively for the LaserDisc release. Technical note for ideal listening: If your DVD Player has an optical out and is connected to your amplifier that has a built in decoder in your home entertainment system; you will experience the true dynamic range of the original digital audio recording. Released exclusively on the long since discontinued and deleted format of VHS in 1985 in various countries. This classic concert was finally remastered and exclusively released on LaserDisc in only ONE COUNTRY, Japan. The following has NEVER been released on DVD until NOW!
This REMASTERED DVD is sourced directly from the original high quality imported Japanese LaserDisc to DVD for the first time ever! Quality is unmatched as it transferred from the long since deleted LaserDisc from OVER THIRTY SEVEN years ago.
Background information: This classic live performance from The Cars was released in 1985 on VHS in the UK, US, Japan and the Netherlands. No other country in the world release it on LaserDisc except for Japan. This remaster comes directly from the absolute best source that is in existence anywhere in the world, the Japanese LaserDisc for lossless quality. Please note: artwork on the DVD itself is sourced from the original VHS not the laser disc from Japan which had a very bland design scheme. Having said that we can guarantee that this DVD was source directly as needed prayer from the exclusive Japanese imported LaserDisc.

This live performance evinces the talent of the quintet. Typical of great artists, they sound as good live as from the studio. This video sound quality is quite good, even by today's standards. Concert find the band at the pinnacle of their career, sharp and tight. This is my opinion the best live capturing of their performance at their peak and is of no comparison to this show (bands era) in sound, song line-up and presentation. If your a Cars fan this is simply one you can't pass up.
