Fundamentals of Computational Mathematics by Boris Demidovich and Isaac Maron, 1960 rare vintage hardcover book in original Russian language. I believe this is the very first edition, published by The State Publishing House of Physical and Mathematical Literature, Moscow. 660 pages. Measures approximately 6 x 8.75 x 1.5 inches (15.2 x 22.2 x 3.8 cm).

Authors: Boris Demidovich (Russian: Борис Павлович Демидович; Belarusian: Барыс Паўлавіч Дземідовіч, romanized: Barys Paulavich Dziemidovich) and Isaac Maron (Russian: Исаак Абрамович Марон).

A description from a Russian website:

"The textbook outlines the most important methods and techniques of computational mathematics based on the general course of higher mathematics for technical universities. The main part of the book is devoted to a course in approximate calculations. The following issues are considered: operations with approximate numbers, calculation of function values using series and iterative processes, approximate and numerical solution of algebraic and transcendental equations, computational methods of linear algebra, interpolation of functions, numerical differentiation and integration of functions, Monte Carlo method, etc. In presenting the material, the basics of matrix calculus are widely used."

This is a previously owned vintage book.  It is in good condition for its age, but, like most used books, it has flaws and I want you to be aware of them before you make your purchase.  Please see all the pictures and note that this particular book has:

bent and scuffed cover corners
chipped and scuffed cover edges
a scratched or scored cover
edge-wear along the bottom of the spine edge
markings on the cover
some slightly creased pages
a loose binding
the back cover has separated from the text block (is still attached via some sort of cloth used in the book binding) (see photos)
some small stains (pictures show the worst ones; there are not many stains)
no dust jacket

I try to give a very thorough description, but it's possible I missed something.  Please study the pictures to see the condition of the item and feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all.

Sent via media mail and packaged thoroughly to withstand the trip.  I offer a shipping discount if you purchase more than one item from me.  If you need a different shipping method, please contact me before purchasing.

This book is from a smoke-free environment.
