For sale is my Genuine E30 325i Sport M-Technic 1 finished in Diamond Schwarz metallic with 70k miles.

Only 290 examples were believed to have been made from September 1986 until August 1987. 

This was first registered in November 1986, and has the following optional extras from Factory: Power steering, heated mirrors, electric sunroof, front electric windows and black leather seats.

The Tech 1 was originally garage find where it had been left dry stored by the owner who had owned it since 1994. (Previous logbooks available showing ownership). It has been off the road since 2000.

I have owned the E30 for just over 3 years and have spent in excess of £5000 bringing the E30 back to life mechanically. In 2021 it had a new fuel tank, brake master cylinder and crank sensor.

In 2022, the engine had an overhaul. This included cylinder head removal and rebuild with new piston rings, injector seals, BMW cylinder head bolts, conrod bolts and sump gasket. The valve clearances were carried out and set to the correct factory spec. The engine then had a full service, including new sparks plugs and a fuel filter.

Following this workload I have been able to enjoy the E30 on the dry days when it occasionally sees the road and receives endless amounts of compliments.

I have had a Clifford concept 650 MK3 fitted with proximity sensors for security.

In August 2023 it had an oil and brake fluid service with new rear discs and pads.

The E30 is currently fitted with the newer Tech 2 headlights and runs on Eibach lowering springs.

Exterior:

There is no rust present on the car including typical areas such as the arches and scuttle panel and it has been continuously dry stored during my ownership with it only being used on dry days. The paintwork is also in good condition with only a few marks as expected due to age. It runs on its original 15” BBS alloys.

Interior:

The leather interior is in good condition but would benefit from a redye to restore its colour where it has faded in places. The rear seats are in good condition with little wear to them.

There is a very small crack in the dash which has appeared recently.

All the electrics in the car work as they should including the electric windows, wing mirror adjustment and sunroof which has been greased to keep its smooth operation.

It is a 38 year old car but is in very good condition for its age. Due to its age, in just over 2 years time it will also be classed as a "historic vehicle" making it exempt from MOT, Road Tax and ULEZ charges.

 

There is little paperwork present, especially as it was untaxed and unused from 2000-2020 hence the lack of MOT history too. I have checks available showing its last taxed date when I purchased it.
