Antique Union Transitional Planes, No. 28 and No.27, with very good heavy Union Mfg Co, New Britain, CT blades. The wooden bodies have wear, dings and minor surface cracks. Original finish on the cast iron frames was worn and they have been lightly re-finished. Exposed areas of blades and chipbreakers have tarnish and light weathering, cutting surfaces are good. Nice lever caps and brass work, all adjustments function smoothly.
