George Jones & Sons Hand Painted Hummingbird and Flowers Dessert Stand 

Circa 1890s 

This beautiful cake stand features a light blue background with a hand painted hummingbird surrounded by flowers in a raised design in the porcelain. A scalloped edge with gold gilt trim. Details on base as well. 

Marked on the back with number 5442

9 1/4” Platter Diameter 5” Height 5 1/8” Base 

George Jones & Sons  were English manufacturers of decorative earthenware and majolica-style wares circa 1861-1951.

This platter is in overall very good condition for its age, with only some wear to the hand painted details.
