When I first purchased this at an auction it worked once but would need to cool down completely to work a second time. This didn’t seem kosher, so I opened it to see if I might see an obvious fix. This was at the beginning of the pandemic and Mole Richardson wasn’t answering phones or emails. They seemed to have closed up shop.
The Moleffect sat on my workbench like this for a few years, and when I finally tried to get it to work again, it wouldn’t do anything. I tried testing for voltage and accidentally shorted something. Now I can’t plug it in without tripping the circuit breaker.
This is a project for someone who sees value in an old but venerable piece of equipment. It comes with a type 1967 fog cooler.
