Kingsbury had its origins in 1886 in Keene, New Hampshire.  The owner was Harry T. Kingsbury, who bought the Wilkins Toy Company, apparently not phasing out that firm's name until 1919.  Steel and spring motors characterize Kingsbury toys, with cars, fire engines, farm equipment and racing cars its primary shoutout.  Kingsbury gave up toy production in 1942.

This KINGSBURY dump truck  is marked on the bottom of the frame, with Patent number 1982463.  This early Kingsbury Dump Truck wants to be in your antique toy collection!
