Description 

This superb figurine depicts a faun, a mythological creature from Ancient Greek and Roman mythology, engaged with playing the aulos, a double piped musical instrument. 

The faun, characterised by its human like body with the addition of goat like features, is portrayed in a dynamic seated pose. Its muscular body is captured mid motion as it leans slightly forward, one leg raised and bent at the knee, while the other remains firmly planted on the ground. 

The facial features of the faun are intricately sculpted, displaying a mischievous and playful expression. 

The aulos is a musical instrument which is commonly associated with Greek and Roman mythology, it consists of two pipes with reeds, which the faun holds to its lips with both hands. The figurine's surface is finished with a weathered patina, which gives it plenty of character and charm. 

Unfortunately, this piece does have some slight imperfections/damage, the aulos is disconnected from the fauns mouth, some fingers have slight damage and the arms may have had a possible repair (see all images)

For any smalls, the item will be be posted out within 2 working days of purchase using the postage service stated on the listing.
