Sphalerite Crystals and Quartz Pseudomorphs of Fluorite Mineral Specimen - Rampgill Vein, Rampgill Mine, Nenthead, Cumbria

A super specimen of Sphalerite crystals and Quartz pseudomorphs of Fluorite from the Rampgill Vein in the Rampgill Mine in Nenthead Cumbria, collected in 1992. The pseudo crystals are sharp and well formed, with abundant shiny Sphalerite and well formed Quartz on the piece.


The specimen measures 7.5 x 5.5 x 5cm and weighs 229g, and is best viewed under magnification to see the full detail. (All weights and measures are approximate).

This piece comes from a from a lifelong collector of minerals who mainly self-collected from all over the world and the UK, although he obtained this specimen from a  fellow collector.
