The slide cassette transport works correctly - the white knob is moved to the open (extended) position and the loaded slide cassette placed in position. The transport is then pulled over to the closed position which loads the first slide into the gate for viewing, at the same time lifting the lamp-blanking shield to one side.
The slide is focussed for sharpness by rotating the lens body.
The next slide is viewed by firstly moving the white knob to the open position to replace the viewed slide into the cassette and then by rotating the white knob one click to advance the cassette ready for the next slide to be loaded in a repeat of the above.
