I am selling an Apple iPod 4th Gen Photo. I bought this through an eBay seller.

I was sold this iPod with "intermittent failing. Random if it turns on or not".

Testing I have done:

Will it turn on while while plugged in: NO

Will it turn on with new battery: NO

Will it turn on while while plugged in and new charged battery: NO

Other observations? I do see a spot of corrosion on the motherboard, near the headphone jack side. I did not clean the board, to see if the spot was the issue.

I am selling for parts, because I can not get it to turn on.  Screen, hard drive, headphone jack, motherboard (and etc) are UNTESTED!!

I will try to see if I can find/borrow another iPod Photo for testing.  There is a low chance of it being another 60GB photo, so just consider the Hard Drive as DOA.  If you'd like, I can switch out the battery with another USED battery.

If you like, you can ask for pictures of me touching a voltmeter on the board. But, you will have to instruct which points on the board you'd like to see the results. I do not have motherboard testing experience.  iPod is currently open and I will close it before sending.
