This vintage Rubie’s brand Gothic/Medieval dress is stunning! Before reading further, we are pointing out that this dress is in need of TLC. There is an interior lining to which is attached an outer shell with embellishments. This has split apart at the seam on the top front. This should be able to be repaired by sewing or tacking, but not entirely sure so this is why it is being listed at a low starting bid.

Dress is a black velvet-like material with long draping sleeves. The front embellished design is done in a lace-like material that is designed to be see-through to the interior skin-colored lining. In between the see-through areas are red velvety flowers with green velvety leaves outlined in sparkle embellishments that look like tiny rhinestones but are made from some other highly reflective type of material. This design is repeated on the outside of the hood. There is a long tie at either side that ties behind the waist.

This is a OS (one size fits most garment), with the following approximate measurements:

Armpit to armpit: 23”

Shoulder to bottom hem: 60”

Sleeve: 31” - 45” (sleeves are cut on an angle, shortest length being 31”)

Waist: about 19” max across the front when laying flat (up to 38” waist)

In addition to the repair issue, mentioning that there are areas of wear on the neckline where the flesh like lining shows through. This outfit was worn only once a long time ago for Halloween.
