DEFOE’S WORKS WILLIAM W. SWAYNE

Brooklyn: Wm. W. Swayne, 1896. Hardcover. Good Condition 607 pages plus numerous pages of publisher's advertisements. Green with gold lettering. It has significant toning to the pages, minor wear to the extremities, and two tears to pages-not large tears. The picture in the front of the book has an intact piece of tissue paper, with a ghost image on the tissue from the picture-a bit of a transfer which is shown. There is an inscription on the inside cover in pencil. It is hard to see unless it is turned at an angle. I have included a photo of it. I believe it says “George Knower New York August 11, 1869”
