This R2 is one of those figures, all exceedingly rare. I know of only two other graded ones. This one is the highest grade (80), 1 of 1.  Sears was given sets of 7 unreleased Star Wars figures in advance to sell exclusively at Sears locations in Canada in 1980 and 1981. In a rush to get them to retail, pictures of the characters were not used, and the figures were vacuum-sealed to perforated cards. This R2-D2 is called Periscope R2-D2, not Sensorscope.

In total, there are seven perforated blank back figures available, all truly rare. Four were produced in 1980, including Tusk of Ugnaught, Han Cloud City Outfit, Dengar, and Lobot, which eventually came out on 41 Backs. In 1981, General Veers, Luke in Hoth Gear, and R2-D2 Periscope were released.

The "different" figure names directly resulted from them not being released anywhere else and the final names not being decided yet. The transition stickers were placed on the ESB cards to cover the ESB logos on some of the final 3. I have seen the R2 with and without that sticker.
