Rare and interesting piece of Harding Black pottery. As designated by the ‘119’ painted on the side, this is a test piece by Harding. The piece is dated 1974, this is around the time that Harding Black devoted himself to the documentation and recreation of the Meyer family of Texas potters glaze techniques. It is my belief that this piece is representative of his attempts at recreating the Meyer glaze.

Unfortunately this piece has two hairline cracks. See the last 2 pictures. They’re not immediately noticeable in my opinion, I’ve had this piece for years and didn’t see them till i was photographing the piece

6.5” tall and 3.75” diameter

It will take me up to 3 business days to ship, due to my work and family life
