Here is a very interesting little wet plate camera. It does not have any branding on it but it looks to be of a European construction. It is a small camera which takes a glass plate of approx 3" x 3". It has its ground glass holder and the ground glass on the inside has an opening of 2 11/16" x 2 11/16". It has a brass lens which is unmarked with its brass cover. It has its wet plate holder which has clear wet plate staining so the camera was used. The holder is missing one of the small side clips that locks the door in place. I could not find any makers marks on the camera other then the number 26 which is embossed on the camera body, the ground glass back and the wet plate holder so clearly it was a production piece. It comes in a very old case which could be original as it fits the camera perfectly and probably explains why the wood is in such good shape. The camera makes a great little display piece. The camera box itself measures approx 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 4 1/4". The case measures approx 8 5/8" x 5" x 6 5/8". Please look at the pictures above.
