TIPS: WHEN BUYING A USED MOTOR, look for the following items,
Is the extension shaft loose or tight when extended? A loose shaft becomes wobbly (puts strain on the motor when extending).
A wobbly shaft may cause the Shaft Extension Tip to break off (the 1/2 inch shaft end that fastens to the recliner legrest or backrest). This usually happens to the center motor which operates the legrest (1/2 inch connecting tip breaks off).
A wobbly shaft may also cause Motor to overheat due to binding.
