At the 85th anniversary party, many influential people in the Thoroughbred industry were in attendance! Spendthrift Farm in Lexington, Kentucky celebrated its 85th anniversary in 2022 with an Annual Breeder's Party. The farm also hosted a Breeders' Party in 2023 on September 15. Spendthrift Farm is a Kentucky Thoroughbred Stallion Farm that's home to over 1,200 acres of land and many Kentucky Derby and Breeders' Cup winners. Leslie Combs II founded the farm in 1937 after inheriting $600,000 from his grandmother and purchasing the land north of Lexington.
