This is a rare and beautiful Wedgwood majolica plate featuring rich colors, cherubs, and angels. The plate measures 9 1/4" across. It is fully hallmarked on the back and probably dates to the late 1860s. It is in good condition except for one small area to the right of one of the angels heads, on the edge of her wing above her arm, near her hand. It looks a little different in surface and color (about 1/4" long) - it may be an earlier repair. Please see the last two photos. There is a small glaze bubble in the center area from manufacture. There are no other, cracks, chips, or damage. Still an amazing plate whose starting price reflects this small inconsistency. Carefully packed for safe shipping. Please see all photos. Sold as found.
