Bryce Canyon National Park lies on the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau in south central Utah. Bryce Canyon National Monument (administered by the U.S. Forest Service) was originally established on June 8, 1923 to preserve the “unusual scenic beauty, scientific interest, and importance.” On June 7, 1924, the monument’s name was changed to Utah National Park and it was transferred to the National Park Service. On February 25, 1928 Utah National Park was changed to Bryce Canyon National Park. Subsequent legislation enlarged the park to its current size of 35,835 acres.

I have purchased a large collection of negatives mostly in large format by Photographer H.S. Bell.

Hugh Stevens Bell (1899-1989) was a writer, researcher, historian, and photographer; his Southwest images were published in National Geographic.

In the collection I have found two envelopes with his name., these envelopes are not included with the auction.

There are a couple of envelopes with dates of 1925 and some in 1930s.

Most negatives are in envelopes giving negative number and subject. Some negatives are loose. The photos of his name on envelope are not for sale but I'm using them as reference . These were purchased out of estate and as found.I have found H.S. Bell as a Real Photo Postcard RPPC Photographer . Also auctions of hand tinted photographs

I have photographed the negatives on a white screen IPad and then used an inverter for a positive image . I am not an expert and a better scan could provide a better picture.

I will ship First Class at 2.00.
