For sale, an antique porcelain Teapot, from the 19th century Chinese late Qing Dynasty. Also known as a Famille Verte Puzzle Wine Pot.

Measures approx 8.5" tall x 1.5" thick. Heavy, weighs 3 lbs.

Description:
The teapot has hand-painted and glazed, with a yellow/green floral decoration with each side having a vignette. The handle and spout are painted to resemble rattan weaving. The tea pot is moulded in the form of the character "fu", meaning good fortune. Unmarked unGlazed base. Purchased in Hong Kong during the 1940s.

Condition:
The teapot is missing the top lid. On one side, at the lower edge of the vignette is a non noticeable small nick. There's a coupe of spots where the glazing didn't cover completely, the two white areas in the photos. Tea pot has been sitting in a display case for the past 60+ years.

The Qing dynasty was the last imperial dynasty in China, succeeded by the Republic of China in 1912. The Qing were made up of ethnic Manchus from the northern Chinese region of Manchuria. Guangxu (满堂福记)
