The commemorative coins  are dedicated to Lynx lynx, belonging to Carnivore species. This precious furry animal inhabits mostly the Ukrainian Carpathians mountains. Its small population is preserved in forest sections which is difficult of access in Manevytskiy district of Volyn region. The animal is registered in the Red Book of Ukraine.
