  • This map opens to 33" x 15¼" and has great detail on old highway alignments and route numbers, with cartography by the General Drafting Company. An inset of Atlantic City locates the Convention Hall and Steel Pier.


  • There's a pictorial guide on the reverse side, along with inset plans of Newark, Trenton, and the metropolitan areas of Philadelphia and New York City.


  • The cover photograph shows the statue of a Revolutionary War dispatch rider outside the First Presbyterian Church in Orange.


  • The map was published by the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey in 1941 and is dated on the cover.
