In WW2, chemical weapons were not used so much, but they were considered a last resort for a desperate government about to be conquered. therefore, chemical plants were high-priority bombing targets. this badge is from the Peoples Republic of Hungary awarded to citizens "for Reconstruction of the Chemical Complex".
The badge is 7/8" by 1/2" and is enameled red and white on brass and green plastic.
