STERLING SILVER VICTORIAN PURSE AND CHAIN IN REPOSSE ART NOUVEAU STYLE CORRECT ORIGINAL CONDITION.
Wow, this purse is all original and over 100 years old.  The exterior is finely crafted of sterling silver by skilled silversmiths,
but it is unsigned as far as I can tell.  It is marked STERLING and 2833, but that's all.  I haven't cleaned the silver as
I don't want to remove any of the patina, but would be happy to do so upon request and payment.  The chain is 15" long
with a 7" drop.  The interior has 3 compartments, one of which has it's own individual clasp and is made of beautifully
preserved silk damaskine.  At one time this was the very height of fashion, that few could afford.  The cartouches are
blank and ready for your monogram, if you choose.  The case has a few minor dings, to be expected for an item of this
age and the hinge is solid, tight and true.  The purse opens with a press of the button on the top and closes almost silently.
There is no warping of either side and the two halves meet perfectly as it was intentioned.  This is probably one of a kind
especially considering the condition and was assembled with pride and ability.  This item will be insured when shipped.
The dimensions of the bag are just above and the measurements are in inches and approximate.  Thank you for enjoying!
