Large bag of Vermiculite for putting under the coals / logs on a gas fire or gas basket, this is usually required for older tray type inset or basket fires . 

One bag is usually sufficient , up to 18" fire / basket. Unless it is a particularly big basket fire 

This is not the same as the Silica Sand, which is fine in composition. This is also in my E-bay shop.  This has much bigger pieces and is lighter in composition.
