The American Road (1953)

Shows development of transportation in the United States during the first half of the 20th century, emphasizing growth of automobile industry, roads and highways. Quite an informative background on the birth of the American car. From Henry Ford's invention of the quadracycle, to the birth of the assembly line to the impact it had on the American way of life, this is quite an educational film. Since it was sponsored by Ford, it focuses a lot on the Model T.

Freedom of the American Road (1955)

Henry Ford II introduces this film designed to encourage private citizens to unite and support road improvement. Part of the lobbying campaign that culminated in legislation authorizing the Interstate Highway system in 1956, this film shows community efforts to improve and increase safety on the Bayshore Highway in the San Francisco Bay Area; congestion in Pittsburgh and the Golden Triangle redevelopment area; the economic benefits of Boston's circumferential highway, Route 128; and safety education in St. Joseph, Missouri. Narrator: Westbrook van Voorhis.

All items will be shipped within 1-3 business days to your PayPal address. We will only ship to your PayPal verified address.

All items are shipped by USPS regular first class mail. In an effort to keep our costs down, that are passed along as low prices to you, all of our disks are packaged and shipped in economic sleeves and mailers.

USA CUSTOMERS: Most times, your package will arrive in about 5 days after we ship them depending on where you are at. However, lately the Post Office it seems has not been very cooperative with us and we've had a couple of customers wait a few days longer than that. Please understand that we cannot control the Post Office, so we can't guarantee a delivery time. If the item does not arrive by the last promised ship date in ebay, please email us and let us know, and we will make it right.

NON-USA CUSTOMERS: Same deal above, except your packages typically have been taking about 2 weeks or so after we ship them. We've noticed that maybe 20% of overseas customers have been waiting as long as 4+ weeks for these shipments. The only explanation we can come up with is that it must be stuck in some container in some dock waiting on customs clearance. It happens, and for those 20% of customers, we apologize, but there is very little we can do about that. Your disk will arrive or we will replace it.
