Description
The L-15A4L has a semi-flat rim that is very comfortable. It has some undercut for chop room, which will make the inside diameter feel a little larger than the specs reflect. The cup is medium deep, with a rounded entrance to the throat to promote good air flow for a nice big sound. Slotting is excellent with the L-15A4L. Customers that have played this piece have used it for solo, lead, jazz, or any style of playing, but it can deliver that extra zing when needed! The design elements of this model work together to maximize endurance, range and sound for the player. The L-15A4L has been described as being similar to a Schilke model rim and cup. It is not a copy of a Schilke, however. This model has the Legends enhanced throat (#27), throat cylinder length, and Legends S backbore.Cup Depth: Similar to Bach B/C
This mouthpiece is kept in stock in three blanks: lightweight, standard weight, and heavyweight. The lightweight blank adds extra sizzle for more of a lead, or 'Las Vegas' sound. The heavyweight blank is extremely efficient; the added mass creates enriched slotting and core of sound. Standard weight is a nice balance of both.
