Museum Quality, Rare Rosewood Top, circa 1850's J & JW Meeks, NYC Laminated Rosewood Parlor Center Table presented in fantastic refreshed condition.

An identical table with a marble top is pictured in the reference book AMERICAN FURNITURE OF THE 19TH CENTRY, page 130, and is attributed to Meeks.  This model we are honored to present has an original rosewood top which is coverted by many Meeks collectors because of its rarity.

Features include the beautiful rosewood top, the laminated rosewood skirt with finely carved roses on all four side, a pair of carved rosebuds on the kness of all four reticulated cabriole legs, and a beautiful up and down lobed finial in the center of the reticulated stretcher.
