Two fixing bolts are supplied which go through the door and screw into the rear of the knocker. The bolts are 60mm long and can be cut to fit your door.

Many people love this look, but if you feel the brass is getting dirty and covered in grime then you can clean your knocker with lukewarm soapy water and a soft brush or cloth. Avoid using abrasive materials as they can scratch the surface of the brass. For a more radiant sheen, use a good quality brass polish. Alternatively, Ketchup or Brown Sauce makes surprisingly good brass polish. Apply with a soft cloth and wipe off after about a minute. Then wash with lukewarm soapy water.
