Using the stock rubber bushings and dowel prevents you from
over tightening,
and also from the damage that mounting solidly will eventually cause to the intricate gear
assemblies inside each gauge. That is why the stock gauges are rubber mounted.

part of the speedo, so the bottom
of the face looks brighter than the top.
The bulb is replaceable however, and you can buy
a higher wattage/brighter/different color bulb if you wish!

They come with the flat, chrome, Y shaped mount bracket attached.
However,
they do NOT come with a rubber mounted clamp to clamp onto the handlebars.
They can be mounted where your stock gauges mounted,
~if you use the stock rubber grommets for the mounting
