There are several different versions of ProMedia 2.1 with different connector types. 
Please refer to the picture of the connector type to make sure it is compatible before purchasing.

If the connector you have on the subwoofer is the DB9 connector (a more square connector with 9 pins), you will need a control pod in this link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/325828837556

This is a new version control pod for Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Computer speakers.
If your old control pod is missing or broken, this is just what you need.

It has the same functions of the original control pod. 
This new version has a power button that you can turn on/off your speaker system.
The subwoofer cable is detachable from the control pod.
The control pod does not need to be attached to the speaker.
You can place it in a spot that is easy to reach.


You can simply connect this control pod to your subwoofer/speakers
and your sound device (MP3 Player, Computer, Cellphone etc.) with the included cables.
