Six maggots joined together in a star shape, with a recess on the top for a hair stop and a lug on the underside. The Clusters have proved hugely popular and are used in many ways from making a complete ball of maggots for chod rigs, or on their own as a topper for a boilie.
The Maggot Ball Baits are made from super soft food grade plastic and are buoyant and can take on flavours. These are a selection of 5 New “Old School” colours which you can select from.
The Maggot Ball Clusters are so soft and yet incredibly strong and give you the angler a new edge in presenting a bait in ways that were not possible before.
Following on from our Corn Ball Stacks, the Corn Ball adds a whole new series of rig and bait presentations. They are made of the same material as the Maggot Ball and Corn Ball Stacks so they are super buoyant, flexible and tough.
Its a Corn Cluster. Kind of round but kinda not… We tested loads of different shapes and this one works best in a couple of ways. It looks like a cluster of corn. All good, we all know carp love corn. We found that this shape gets lifted up quicker and with less effort when its sucked. It flies up into the carps mouth further than a round boilie. The irregular shape has flats and round corners making it swirl and tumble more as the carp tries to blow it out of its mouth increasing the chance of your hook grabbing.
Why this size?
They are 16mm wide to match the most popular boilie and pop up sizes. Cut one in half and a boilie to make a beautiful wafter!
Why these 6 colours?
We had to make a yellow! The Night Glow works brilliantly day and night. Charge it with day light or the LED light on the back of your smart phone for a gentle glow. The purple has become the new favourite colour for loads of you so we couldn’t leave it out. The white is a great attractor colour in clear or coloured water, there is also a vivid green! We have made the pink a bit washed out. Toned it down from the Corn Ball Stacks and Maggot Clusters.
The Corn (Stacks)
Sweetcorn is a well known carp catching bait and is used widely by many anglers and has in the past even held the British record carp! In my own carp fishing over many years, I have used several grains of sweet corn on the hair but always had the problem of it being so soft it comes off to easily, so with this in mind we developed the “Corn Stack”. We have made it from the same super soft food grade plastic as our Maggot Ball and the Stacks are buoyant and can readily take on flavours. The material is soft and feels like the real thing, but it is very strong and robust.
We have made the Corn Stacks in 9 popular colours Yellow, Red, White, Pink, Night Glow, Purple, Orange, Green and even a Black. They come in Stacks of 3 grains that can be used as is or cut in to single or double grains, giving an almost unlimited number of ways they can be used. The most common way to use the corn is to use one grain as a hair stop, so we have made a recess at each end, so the outer grains can be used and the hair stop can be pulled inside the bait to hide it. Another popular way to use the Corn Stacks is pulling a Maggot Ball Cluster through the Stack, this gives a totally new dimension to your bait presentation.
