Handsome fold-out 1952 Gulf Oil Company road map of Tennessee and Kentucky, printed more than 63 years ago.

This map opens to 18" x 36" and has great detail on old highway alignments, including U.S. Routes 11, 41, 60, and 70, with cartography by Rand McNally.

Kentucky is on one side of the map, Tennessee on the other. There's an inset map of Great Smoky Mountains National Park which labels the Appalachian Trail, Cades Cove, Clingmans Dome, and other features.

This map was published by the Gulf Refining Company in 1952 and is dated by the code number in the lower margin: 2-514517-2. It includes ads for various Gulf products, including car polish, lighter fluid, spot remover, and insect spray.
