Seltene und alte Figur der Gottheit Ganesha.

Balinesische Holzskkulptur mit Gold- und Farbbemalung. H. 26 cm. Aus deutscher Privatsammlung.

Vierarmig (skt. catur-bhuja). Die zwei äußeren Hände wohl mit Waffen, rechte mittlere Hand mit Buch, linke mittlere Hand um Rüssel. Auf doppeltem Lotosthron sitzend. Reich ornamentiert und imposante Krone. Sehr ungewöhnliche und interessante Darstellung. Leichte Altersspuren.

Four arms (skt. catur-bhuja). Two hands holding weapons, another one with book. Seated on a double lotus pedestal. Large crown and royal clothes. Very uncommon and interesting depiction. Slight signs of age and wear.
