Unassembled Metal Frame Assembly Instructions
For this size frame, it is suggested that two people work together.
First, MAKE SURE YOUR PICTURE (etc) IS MOUNTED ON A STURDY SURFACE SUCH AS FOAMBOARD. This is very important to ensure a snug fit. First, lay two longest sides of frame on its face on a flat surface that won’t scratch the frame. Next insert one short side of frame with corner connectors in channels (back of frame) and tighten screws on both sides. Cardboard backing is included but not a substitute for mounting.
Next, flip frame over (front side). Insert cardboard backing. Then insert artwork. Peel off protective film from both sides of the Plexiglas.
Insert Plexiglas in frame (clean if necessary). Cardboard backing for frames larger than 40 x 60 will be assembled in 2 sections next, flip frame over (hold tightly as you turn the frame over insert other end piece into channel of frame and tighten screws. Next, insert spring clips. Spring clips are the curved metal pieces included with your frame. They are used to help your artwork fit tightly in your frame. From the back side, press down and slide clips under edges of frame with logical spacing. Next place screw hangers in channel and tighten. Next insert wire in hanger holes. You are now ready to hang your artwork.
