The “Prostam” apparatus is designed for treating prostatic inflammatory diseases in the decline and remission phases. The “Prostam” apparatus can be applied for combination therapy with the use of anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory drugs and adaptogenes or as monotherapy.

“Prostam” units are designed for treating chronic prostatitis. They allow local influence on the prostate transrectally by the combination of the most popular methods used for increasing efficiency of drug treatment. These methods are hyperthermia, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy and mechanical micro-vibration.
Heat therapy effectively enhances blood circulation and stimulates immunity in the surrounding tissues.
Local application of the electromagnetic field has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and regenerative effects.
Mechanical micro-vibration enhances prostate and pelvic floor muscles contractility and tone. It also ensures adequate secretion evacuation. All this is important for removing stasis in the prostate and reducing the symptoms of lower urinary tract irritation.

The treatment procedures are performed once a day and take 20-30 minutes. The treatment course consists of 7-9 procedures. The next course should be given not earlier than in 2 months.
The “Prostam” apparatus assembly includes a power supply unit and an actuating element connected with a cord.
“Prostam” units are supplied with status indicating lights installed on the power supply unit case.
• green light – operation mode;
• red light –apparatus failure;
• yellow light – operation completed.
When the “Prostam” apparatus is plugged in, testing is performed (red indicator light) after which the green indicator light must come on.
After operation is completed (30 min), the yellow indicator light will be on.
In the event of failure (breakage, short circuit), the red indicator light will be on.
