The above tachometer operates on standard, factory electronic ignition systems in most cases. However, some vehicles due to low tach signal output, a tachometer adapter may be needed that can be purchased from your local automotive outlet.

Connections

Red wire to + volts on ignition switch
Black wire to system ground
Green wire to - side of coil. On electronic ignition systems, connect green wire to tachometer pulse output.
